We're finally taking some time to enjoy our new surroundings. Last weekend we went to the Waitakere Ranges, which are some beautiful hills just West of Auckland, less than an hour away. It was rainy, but we checked out the visitors centre and took a small walk. We also went to Phia beach, which is just gorgeous. There were a lot of people swimming, kayaking, but mostly surfing.
We've also been taking Howie down to the beach a lot. He's making lots of dog friends and loves finding gross things to eat.
In other news, we finally bought a second car, a Nissan. Pictures to come soon.
We also had our first visitors. Denise and her new financee Ian stopped by. Denise is Canadian, but lives in Perth Australia. She has also lived in NZ, so it was great to hear her views of NZ and OZ. It was also great to see a familiar face.
